Artist Biography

     Mrs. Amber Dains (John), born in Burlington, IA, has been taking photographs since she was old enough to understand how a camera operates. She works predominately in the areas of landscape and inspirational photography, creating prints and canvas as a means to uplift, motivate, and encourage.

A self-taught photographer, she travels the world with her trusty phone camera, relying more on her keen eye and artist's intuition than on the camera and lens. Her pieces have fantastic stories that accompany the vivid detail of every day life she captures. Each place she visits becomes another collection of stories and images, weaving together the finite places on the map into one infinite story of humanity and creation.

She and her husband married in 2022 and love traveling with their two rescue dogs. When not gallivanting across the globe taking photographs, she resides in Burlington, IA, teaching 5th grade social studies and science.
