Black Orchid Lamppost

The Black Orchid is both the national flower of Belize, and a beautiful little Resort in Burrell Boom Village. About 15 minutes from where I lived, this was a place I frequented during my time in Belize. We took our various missions teams to The Black Orchid for meals, relaxing there (and connecting onto the free wifi) after a hard day's work.  I also have a very unique view of this place, as I helped my Belizian friend sell her artistic jewelry and wares at the Resort on the days the Cruise Ships were ported in Belize.  I felt like a native myself, often explaining the beauty of Belize and answering tourists' questions.  Once, I even got mistaken as a native, with my nice tan, slight accent, and tiny cornrow hair braids!
