Cockscomb Butte Peaks

Gliding through the Sedona Valley in a hot air balloon, was one of the most amazing experiences of my life. There was so much to see, so much to take in!  I had a camera for each hand, and could not get enough of the views! Cockscomb Butte stands at Elevation 5009 feet in the southern end of Sedona, in the Coconino National Forest.  The three tall spires or spikes resemble that of the red comb, or crown, of a rooster (cock), which is how it was given its name.  It was a delight to have our balloon and basket skim over this tall Butte!
