Traveling photos from Iowa to Ukraine, via Germany and Hungary. This was my first trip to Europe, and it was an experience of a lifetime. After Crossing Stiftstraße (Pin Street), we headed We headed toward the castle looking building, which we found out was called Eschenheimer Turm (Tower). It is the oldest and most unaltered building in Frankfurt. It is an original castle gate from the 1400s! A real castle tower gate! I couldn't believe my eyes!! Of course, now there's a restaurant in the tower, and I found out later that the straße (street) used to go through the Trum, but the city did construction a few years back and they added a pedestrian zone. (More to story coming soon.)
Photo taken with iPhone 4 in Iowa, on my way to Germany, October 2013.
