First Congregational Church and Steeple

In the middle of Fourth St, between Washington and Jefferson Streets, stands First Congregational Church. Constructed from 1867 to 1870, this Gothic Revival style church building is built of dressed dolomite. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1976, and is a contributing property in The Heritage Hill Historic District of Burlington, IA.
