The Little Juarez Cafe, once the Brownlee Diner, sits vacant in the ghost town of Glenrio, TX on the border of New Mexico. This building was opened as a diner in 1952 and closed its doors in 1973 when I40 bypassed the town and Historic Route 66. This photo was extremely special for me to photograph as it was a part of the Pixar movie Cars sequence of buildings and places on my list to photograph. You can see this building in the movie behind Lightning when he is meeting Tow Mater for the first time at the impound lot. So much to see and photograph along Historic Route 66!
Photo taken with iPhone XR, June 2024 in Glenrio, Texas along Historic Route 66.
