The Memorial Auditorium and Convention Center in Burlington, IA sits at the Mississippi River's edge in the Downtown Commercial Historic District. Built in the Modern/Art Deco style, in 1938-39 by the Works Progress Administration, the building was first used as a U.S. Naval Reserve Training Center by the supply company of the 136th Medical Regiment of the Iowa National Guard.
