Port of Burlington from Dock Panels

The Port of Burlington sits alongside the Mississippi River in Burlington, IA. Originally built as the Municipal River Terminal in 1928, it became a significant part of the commercial activities of the town, connecting the river, roads, and railway in commercial traffic. In 2012 a refurbished Port of Burlington, complete with Welcome Center, was opened. Still a hub today, the Port of Burlington is open for visitors, rentals, and each summer, the Burlington Steamboat Days Music Festival.
