Tow Maters and Red

Cars on the Route and the restored circa 1934 Kan-O-Tex Station are located in Galena, Kansas along Route 66. This stop is also the home of "Tow Tater", the inspiration for the character "Tow Mater" in the Pixar movie, Cars. (The rusted 1951 International Harvester was mistaken as a tow truck, but is actually a boom truck.) A great place to stop and take photos!

(There are 13 miles of Route 66 in Kansas, connecting Missouri to Oklahoma.)
